Enhancement of Ecoliteracy for Language Learners Using Song Lyrics

This study explores song lyrics to use in language teaching enhance students’ ecoliteracy while developing their competency. Today’s goes beyond proficiency but capability address such emerging issues society as ecological crises. Inclusion of authentic materials like may motive learners be proficient well ecoliterate. The method used this research include data selection, i.e., from KePal-SPI, Navicula, and Burgerkill that can utilized ELT; analysis consisting paraphrasing, speculating, interpreting the lyrics; evaluating thematic linguistic appropriateness for classroom use. results show that, first, five reveal problems deforestation biodiversity loss singing artists lament call preventive actions. Secondly, offer imaginative enable think critically creatively, hence useful materials.
